The Rainbow Hostel is located in the beautiful village of Doolin, Co. Clare, right on the famous Wild Atlantic Way.

The Hostel itself is in the centre of Doolin, just 2 mins walk from cafés, restaurants and pubs with great food and traditional music sessions.

In addition to our central location, there is also a Bus Eireann bus stop right outside the hostel.

We do not offer breakfast, but there is a self catering kitchen where guests can make breakfast, open from 7.30 am.

In addition to our large kitchen, please note that there is breakfast available at Doolin Café and McGann’s Pub, which are just next door to the hostel. Other places serve breakfast throughout the village too.

Yes, all our rooms are private and you will not be sharing your room with anyone else. Moreover, all our rooms have a private bathroom with shower. All bedrooms have either a code or key access.

Yes, all our bedrooms are en-suite with a private bathroom including shower.

All bed linen is included. Towels are available for hire for €1.

Our prices vary depending on the time of year. The price per person sharing per night ranges from €20 to €35. Please note in addition to those prices that we apply a supplement for single occupancy.

All bedrooms have either a code or a key access. We also offer luggage storage free of charge while waiting for a bus.

Check-in is anytime between 1pm and 9pm.

Check-out is anytime up to 11am.

Yes, there is ample free car parking space at our property.

There is no curfew. We give a code to our front door to all our guests. However we ask that you respect your fellow travelers when you come in after 11 pm. No noise allowed at night in rooms or in common areas.

We accept cash and credit card payments. When making a reservation we request your credit card details to secure the booking.

We accept cancellations up to 14 days prior to arrival. In other words, if you cancel your booking within less than 14 days, or in the event of a no show, the full balance of the first night will be charged.

PLEASE NOTE: All non-refundable reservations cannot be modified or transferred to a third party.

Individual travelers must be over 18 to check-in. However we are delighted to welcome families with children of any age.

We allow wine or beer with dinner, but do not allow late night drinking or after-hour pub sessions.

Even though we strongly recommend visitors to spend at least 3 days in Doolin, there is no minimum length of stay. You can book for a maximum of 7 nights.  We can also facilitate, on occasion, an extension of your stay if you so wish.

Management also reserve the right to refuse admission.
